The ebb and flow of a party is essential to a memorable and joyous experience. With decades of experience performing for such occasions, Shirim prides itself on the ability to "read an audience" and vary the repertoire appropriately. They alternate klezmer music with popular Israeli folk dances and American Swing and Big Band music, as well as ballads and waltzes for couples dancing. From energetic dances such as "Take the 'A' Train" to romantic ballads such as "Stardust," Shirim plays classic tunes you will recognize and enjoy. With their rock guitarist/vocalist they can play classic rock tunes which will get your crowd dancing!

Great musicianship and great tunes do not necessarily make a great wedding band. Shirim knows the importance of working with you the client, the caterer, and the party coordinator, to keep your party running smoothly and on schedule. They also know the importance of playing very softly (or not at all) when people are eating and talking. They are not a highly electrified band and do not make the mistake of playing too loud, an important consideration at multi-generational events.
